Tai Chi in Newbury Park - Wednesday @ 7:15pm

You do not need to be a Club TKD Newbury Park Member to participate in our Tai Chi Classes.  Drop-Ins are welcome or you can buy a series of 10 classes for a discounted price.  You only pay for the classes that you attend.  Please call 805-499-0919 for more information.

What is Tai Chi?

Tai Chi is a low impact, weight bearing, and aerobic (yet relaxing) exercise that originated in Ancient China.  It began as a Martial Art and has become very popular, as it can be learned by people of any age.  For those who practice Tai Chi, it often takes on the purpose of enhancing physical and mental health.  It includes gentle movements, deep breathing, and meditation.  The meditation is sometimes called "moving meditation".

What are the Health Benefits of Tai Chi?

Tai Chi is believed to improve the flow of energy through the body, leading to better wellness and a wealth of potential benefits.  These benefits include:

Improved strength, conditioning, coordination, and flexibility.

Stress relief

Enhanced sleep

Greater awareness, calmness, and overall sense of well-being

Reduced pain and stiffness (even in people with Osteoarthritis)

Better balance and lower risk of falls

Lowering of blood pressure
